Klint can sleep anywear but never all night!!

Every time Klint is at home he plays the computer continuously.  I have pictures of him sleeping in this chair in all sorts of positions.  He has always fallen asleep whenever the need hit.  If you don't sleep all night, that is obviously the result; sleep wherever.  I'll have to start posting some of those old pictures.

Grandchildren are the best!!!

Yesterday we had a house full of grandchildren.  Three of mine and Chuck's and his sister Kim was here with both of hers.  What a blessing it is to have such beautiful healthy children.  And it was so much fun to have them all here.  I have always been a "kid" person.  When I was a young girl growing up in Pineville, Louisiana there were several little girls who thought the only place they could sit in church was with me.  Every service you would find me with two to four sitting with me.  Each Sunday after the invitation song, my Daddy would walk up the aisle to the back so he could shake hands and talk to everyone as they left that day.  Sometimes he would stop and pick up one of the twins, Lynn Spigner and take her with him.  She loved this.  Here was this big tall 6'5" gentle man holding this darling little girl.  She loved him holding her up high like that.  Many years later, when Lynn drowned in the river, the family talked about those days like they were yesterday.

The fact that the grandkids are mine and Chuck's makes them so special.  Zach is 10 ( I hope I got that right and he isn't 11 - sometimes I have trouble remembering - imagine that!!)  He is so much fun and he loves that little ones.  Kaylee is four.  She has a beautiful smile and laugh.  She is putting meaning of words and thoughts together with her speech and every day is something new.  I love seeing the changes in her as she begins to communicate her understanding of the words we all use.  We had a giggling spree yesterday and it was awesome.  The twinkle in her beautiful eyes is beyond words.  Dylan is 18 months old.  He is always busy "exploring" everything he can get his hands on.  When it comes time so sleep, he loves to be cuddled up with RaRa and a fuzzy blanket.  The only one missing yesterday was Cash.  He is the baby of the group at 14 months.  He lives in Jackson, TN with my daughter Kandi and her husband Clint. I miss not having him right here to see the changes in him on a daily basis.  Kandi is good at keeping me updated, but it isn't quite the same as seeing the every day changes.  It sure does make me appreciate the visits home they make or the trips I take up there.  I'm thankful for having VPN access and a laptop so that I can work from there when I go, which allows me to spend more time with them when I do go.  The next trip is August 11th unless I decide to go earlier in the week.  I'm taking Klint with me and we are keeping Cash one night for the entire night so Mama and Daddy can go on a real date and spend the night away for the first time.  What a difference it makes to be so far away.  Kandi spent her first night away with Puddon and Major at 3 months.  Of course, they only lived 11 miles away in Bernice and BG (my Mom) only lived 7 miles away in Farmerville.

Dylan and I are up watching Sesame Street.  He is an early riser, but such a happy baby.  The only time he fusses is when he is hungry and it isn't really much of a fuss.    We've been up since 4:51.  He is drinking his first cup of morning milk.  He is too funny.  He takes his pacie out and drinks and then puts the pacie right back in.  I love this RaRa time with him.

Last night as we were going to bed, Kaylee was singing.  There isn't enough money in the world to exchange for the sounds of that.  Chuck and I were just listening and soaking it all in.  This is the first time he has been able to sleep in the same room. even if it is a hospital bed for him and the kids in bed with me.  Oh and don't forget Hershey, our lab.  She wouldn't sleep away from Kaylee for anything.  She will scoot just as close as she can get to her when she is in the bed with us.

Guess I better stop writing and see what is next for today.  Everyone have a blessed day!!!

Cash McGee Collins arrived May 14th at 3:17 P.M. weighing in at 9 lbs. 12 oz. He was 20 inches long. May was a very busy month for us. I went to Jackson on Wednesday, May 12th. Klint went with me. A normal 7 hour drive took 9 hours and it wasn't me who had to stop a million times. Anyway, Cash arrived on Friday afternoon via C section and we were all too busy snapping photos and hugging him to do anything else. Saturday morning brought us all a little scare as the problems with his blood sugar being low had not resolved so they moved him from the regular nursery to the Special Care section of the NICU. There is more to this story and pictures to post, but I'm going to bed tonight and I'll update more tomorrow.
